Two ingredients worth knowing

Grapefruit (Citrus × paradisi) is a relatively recent citrus fruit in historical terms, the result of a cross between pomelo and sweet orange. Its fresh, zesty scent is very popular in cosmetics. Hemp oil is pressed from the seeds of Cannabis sativa, a plant grown for thousands of years for its fibres and seeds. Greenish in colour, it is valued in hair and skin care for its fluid texture.

How to use it

• Wash your hair with your usual shampoo and rinse well.
• Squeeze the lengths between your hands to remove excess water: the conditioner spreads better on well-drained hair.
• Apply to the lengths and ends; if your hair is fine, keep away from the roots to preserve volume.
• Detangle with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers, starting at the ends.
• Leave on briefly, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

How much?

That depends on the length and thickness of your hair. For a bob, a small amount is enough; for long or thick hair, double it. If your hair feels heavy once dry, use less or rinse for longer.

Between washes

To keep your lengths easy to style, pat your hair dry with a towel instead of rubbing it, and turn the hairdryer heat down. These small habits help the conditioner's effect last.
