What is Camila soap?

Three notes, three origins

What does 'cold-process' mean?

Soap is made by reacting oils or butters with an alkali, lye. In the cold-process method, this happens without prolonged cooking, and the bars are then left to mature for several weeks. The glycerine that forms naturally during the reaction stays in the soap instead of being removed, and it contributes to the soft feel after rinsing.

How to use it

• Wet the soap and work up a lather between your hands or on a washcloth.
• Wash the body in circular movements; it is also suitable for washing hands.
• Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
• Between uses, leave it on a draining soap dish: a handmade soap that sits in water softens and wears away faster.
