Argiletz organic rosemary toothpaste: green clay for every day

Brushing your teeth is one of those things we do twice a day almost without thinking. So it may as well be with a paste whose taste and texture you enjoy. With its organic rosemary toothpaste, Argiletz offers a formula based on green clay, lifted by the lively herbal note of a plant familiar from Mediterranean gardens.

What is this toothpaste?

According to the product sheet, this toothpaste is made with green illite clay, described as rich in trace elements, and is delicately scented with rosemary essences. It comes in a 75 ml tube.

Alongside montmorillonite and kaolinite, illite is one of the clays most widely used in cosmetics. Its fine texture makes it a good base for a gentle paste. Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus, long known as Rosmarinus officinalis) is a shrub of the mint family, Lamiaceae, native to the Mediterranean; its fresh, slightly camphor-like scent is as familiar in the kitchen as on the balcony.

Why a clay-based paste?

Clay has long been part of personal care and beauty routines: masks, powders, soaps. In a toothpaste, it forms the base of the paste. If you are switching from a standard gel to a clay paste, the texture and taste may feel unusual for the first few days. That is normal – give yourself a little time to get used to it.

How to use it

• Put a small, pea-sized amount on a soft-bristled toothbrush.
• Brush for about two minutes, morning and evening, reaching every surface of your teeth.
• Spit, rinse the brush and let it dry head up.
• Close the tube properly after each use.
• Add dental floss or interdental brushes, as recommended by your dentist.

Rosemary or sage?

Argiletz also makes this toothpaste in a sage version, which its product sheet associates with a feeling of softness. The choice is mostly a matter of taste: rosemary for a livelier note, sage for a rounder flavour. You can of course alternate between the two.

Precautions

Good to know. Toothpaste is not for swallowing: spit it out after brushing. For young children, keep an eye on the amount used and ask for advice on a toothpaste suited to their age. If you know you are sensitive to an ingredient, check the list on the packaging. A toothpaste does not replace check-ups with your dentist or visits to the dental hygienist. Keep the tube out of the reach of children.
