Argiletz pink clay mask: gentle care for delicate skin

Some skin flushes at the slightest thing: a cold wind, hard water, a new product. For skin like that, choosing a mask can feel like a puzzle. Pink clay has a reputation as one of the gentlest clays, and this Argiletz mask is devoted entirely to it.

What is pink clay?

In cosmetics, pink clay is generally made by blending very gentle white clay with red clay. It combines the softness of the one with the warm colour of the other.

According to the product sheet, this pink clay mask is a true complexion enhancer and cares for all skin types, even the most delicate. The sheet also mentions a less familiar use: the mask is suitable for the scalp, particularly with dry or dull hair. It is sold in a 100 g size.

How to use it

The manufacturer's routine

The product sheet sets out precise directions, which we reproduce here:

• Apply the mask in a thick layer over the whole face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eyes and lips.
• Leave on for 10 minutes. Clay comes to life in contact with water: moisten it as often as needed so it does not dry out.
• Rinse off with lukewarm water, then pat your skin dry.
• Repeat this treatment once a week.

On the scalp

• With damp hair, make a few partings and apply the mask directly to the scalp.
• Massage gently with your fingertips and leave on for a few minutes, keeping the clay moist.
• Rinse very thoroughly, then wash with your usual shampoo if needed.

For very reactive skin

Shorten the application time for the first few uses, and afterwards apply a fragrance-free cream your skin already knows. That way you will know what to put any reaction down to.

Precautions

Gentle does not mean untested. For external use only. Before the first application, test the mask in the crook of your elbow and wait a few hours. Avoid all contact with the eyes and rinse with clean water if needed. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. If redness or itching appears, rinse off and stop using it. Close the packaging and keep it out of the reach of children.
