Argiletz yellow clay mask: a brighter look for dull skin
End of winter, short nights, long office days: when your complexion loses its glow, the Argiletz yellow clay mask offers gentle cleansing and mild exfoliation.
Contents
At the end of winter, after a busy spell or long days under artificial light, your face can look tired and a little grey. Nothing serious, but you would like your complexion to look brighter again. That is exactly when yellow clay earns its place in the bathroom.
What is yellow clay?
Clays owe their colours to their mineral make-up. Shades from yellow to red generally come from iron oxides, whereas white clays contain very little of them. Yellow clay therefore sits between very gentle white clay and red clay.
According to the product sheet, yellow clay is a natural substance rich in minerals and trace elements, and this Argiletz mask gently exfoliates the skin while supplying the epidermis with useful minerals. It comes in a 100 g size.
Our druggist recommends it as a face mask for caring for and cleansing dull skin.
How to use it
The five-step ritual
- Remove your make-up, cleanse your face and dry it.
- Prepare or scoop out the amount you need as directed on the packaging.
- Spread the mask in an even layer over the face, working around the eyes, eyebrows and lips.
- Leave on for a few minutes; if the surface starts to crack, moisten it lightly with a mister or wet fingertips.
- When rinsing, massage gently in small circles under lukewarm water: this is where you feel the exfoliating effect. Pat dry without rubbing and moisturise.
The right rhythm
Because it exfoliates, this mask is not for every day. Once a week is a sensible pace; on thin or reactive skin, start with once every two weeks and see how your skin responds. Avoid combining it on the same day with a scrub or another exfoliating product.
To round it off
After the mask, skin welcomes a rich cream or a few drops of vegetable oil. If your skin tends to be dry, the red clay mask from the same range may also interest you.
Precautions
A gentle treatment, but a treatment all the same. For external use only. Test the mask on a small area of skin before using it for the first time. Avoid the eye area; if contact occurs, rinse with clean water. Do not apply to irritated or broken skin, or straight after sun exposure. Close the packaging after use and keep it out of the reach of children.
