What is ultra-ventilated green clay?

"Ultra-ventilated" refers to clay that has been reduced to a particularly fine powder. The smaller the particles, the more easily the clay blends with water and the silkier the paste feels on the skin.

According to the product sheet, Argiletz ultra-ventilated green clay is 100% natural, sun-dried, carefully selected and subjected to numerous checks. It is rich in minerals and comes as a fine powder of about 20 microns. The pack contains 300 g.

How to use it

The express mask

• Put one tablespoon of powder in a small non-metal bowl.
• Add roughly the same amount of water and stir: the paste forms almost at once. Adjust with a few drops of water.
• Spread an even layer over clean skin, keeping away from the eye area and lips.
• Wait about ten minutes. If the paste turns pale and feels tight, mist it with a little water.
• Rinse with lukewarm water while massaging gently, pat dry without rubbing, then moisturise.

Two simple variations

• Scented: replace the water with a floral water, such as lavender or orange blossom.
• More comfortable: if your combination skin feels tight on the cheeks, apply the clay only to the forehead, nose and chin.

Kept dry, the powder lasts a long time. Close the pack tightly after each use and mix only enough for one mask.

Precautions

Worth remembering. For external use only. Before your first mask, test the paste on a small area of skin. Avoid the eyes and rinse with clean water if contact occurs. Do not apply to damaged skin: Argiletz states that green clay must not be applied to open wounds. One or two applications a week are plenty. Keep the pack out of the reach of children.
